Literature Text

A magician walks out on stage dressed in a suit,
The audience applauds and silences to a mute.
The magician rolls up his sleeve, and shows them his hands,
Nothing odd, nothing strange.
He places a deck of cards on the table before him, then asks the audience for a volunteer from the stands,

A young boy steps forward, full of youth and innocence,
The magician looks down on the boy and hands him the deck of cards,
He asks him to look through them and pick out one he liked.
The boy looks through the cards and stops and what he sees,

A single Jack, suited in black, holding the symbol of clubs.

The magician asks the boy to place the card back into the deck he now holds,
The young boy does and steps away to see what the magician is about to unfold.

He shuffles the deck and and places the cards into a bucket,
The boy stands beside him, trying to pay attention to the trick,
but also trying to see how it is done.
The magician then asks the boy to place his hand on the bottom of the bucket and think really hard about the card he choose,
The boy places his hand on the bottom of the bucket and begins to imagine the Jack of clubs in his head for a moment or so.

Suddenly the bucket explodes and out comes a small burst of flames,
The boy pulls his hand back and steps away from the magician,
The magician then tells him "It is alright" and has him look back into the bucket.
The young boy cautiously looks into the bucket and notices all but ash,
All but a small white edge of a card,
The magician then reaches into the bucket and pulls out a single playing card,
He hands it too the boy and asks him if it is his card,
The boy takes the card and looks down to see, low and behold,

A single Jack, suited in black, holds a symbol of clubs.

The boys soon falls into awestruck,
He ponders how the magician did such a  trick.

The magic show ends and the boy goes home,
A Jack still waving in his hand,
He is tucked into bed tight as a bug,
the Jack resting on his night stand.

Several years go by and the boy now becomes a young man,
He listens to his music one day and works on his homework on his bed,
He drops his pencil and that rolls under the night stand.
He pulls off his headphones and gets down near the floor,
He reaches under the night stand and feeling for a pencil,

Instead finds something odd,
He pulls something out and low and behold,

A single Jack, suited in black, holding the symbol of clubs.

He returns to his studies, but holds the Jack,
and begins pondering the trick that led him to the clubs.
He soon gives in and begins looking up how it is done.
After hours of searching, he finally discovers how such a trick can be won.

He spends his days practicing and perfecting tell it as he remembers. He tries and he tries,
Then soon tries to make it better then how it was before.

His mother returns home,
only to find an awful sight,
The house is smoking and the fire departments out front,
She runs for the house, but the firefighters stop her in her fright.

They set her aside and tell her to wait,
As she cries with her head in her hands, waiting to hear if her son is alive.
The news becomes grim and the mother breaks down into to tears,
as a fire fighter walks out holding a card in his hand,

A single Jack, suited in black, holding the symbol of clubs.
This is actually an analogy for a lot of things if you can find them. One being science. Sorry if some of the verses don't match up, I started in one format, but changed it at the last second.
