Entry 7 May 18th, 2014
We are on the road right now. Ally is taking her turn at driving while I get a chance to rest. Getting out of Pittsburgh went some what well. We had a few Z's in the way. We had Blondy lay down in the back seat of the truck with the cat. She doesn't look to good this morning. Her face is looking a little pail and she says she feels like throwing up. I have the 22 in my lap, just in case. I hope it never has to come to that, but we still don't know at this point.
The sky looks so deceiving. It's still peaceful and blue. I never expected hell to still seem so peaceful. All the grass is still green. The wind still blows, yet the rest of the world seems different now. Nature hasn't changed, just humanity. But humanity is still a major part of nature.
It feels as if nature has lost a major love in it's life. It still goes on, but you can tell it just isn't the same. It appears fine and colorful, but the more you look at it, the more you can tell it's never going to be the same.
I guess that's just more of the after effects in living in a world alone and quiet. I'll probably write more later on today, but for now, I need to sleep.

When will life just stop? When will this infection stop? When will all of humanity just stop? When will anything and everything just stop? I don't want to be alive in a world like this.

This is Ally writing. Curtis is sitting in the truck right now. He says he wants to be alone for a little while, though I can't blame him. So we stopped at a rest area along the highway. I decided to barrow his journal since he just got finished writing in it before he asked to be alone. I'm waiting on the bench over by the bathrooms now, keeping an eye on him.
I don't think he has it in him to write what happened, so I guess I will. We were driving along the highway, when we heard the blond haired girl ask for us. Curtis turned around to ask her what she needed, when she whispered something too him. He then asked me to pull of the road, so I did. He had me get out of the truck with the cat and walk over to an over pass and wait for him.
Once I had gotten to the over pass, I heard the sound of a gun shot being fired. Curtis then walked over to me a few minutes later and told me to get back in the truck.
When I was getting in the passenger side door, I noticed a blanket rapped over... something in the back. I immediately knew what the something was. I don't think I'll write any more. He may get mad. Just remember Curtis, your a strong man and I love you.

I see Ally has written in my journal. I was wondering where it went while I was in the truck.

Her name was Sophie. She was 24.

She was staying in that apartment while she was visiting her family and looking into an internship for a large company.

She says she had a husband named Mark and a 3 year old son named Ivan living in Phoenix, Arizona.

She gave me a black and white bracelet. She wanted me to give it to her husband if we find him.

Everyone has a life. Everyone had a life. Everyone had something they were living for or striving for in life. No one wanted to die. No one choose to become infected.
At least they all went with their loved ones to a happier place. Mean while, we are still stuck here on a place worse then hell. At least I have the only person worth living for along side me. I doubt I would even bother continuing this journey if I didn't have her.
We are still stopped at the rest stop. Ally figured I needed a break for the day and its far away from any trouble with Z's. She's making another can of beans right now. I think I may just get out the bottle of Jack I found. I may need it tonight in order to get to sleep. We are still, extremely unlucky survivors in an unlucky world. I hope you rest in peace Sophie.

Good job sorin. I like that you added some sadness in the story. I like it because it fits into the story, at least I found out the blonde girl's information.
